Filipino singers…

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

Last Sept 14, 2006 — went to the Filipino Store Tindahan sa Nayon  by the K-mart in Maryville to meet Filipino singers such as Kuh Ledesma , Isabella , Basil Valdez and Martin Nievera . The owner said they are coming in at around 11 am. With my experience 2 years ago of meeting Vina Morales and Eric Santos they same place—took us 2 hrs before we meet/seen them.

I have Bianca Ann with me this time—we got there at 11:15 am, with Dorothy driving her own car.…there was a lot of people already waiting for the singers. 12 pm came no show up yet. Dorothy went home after an hour of waiting. My Hubby just got done with his meeting in Smokey Point stop by at the Filipino store asking me for a lunch with him –I said not this time cause I could NOT miss this chance to meet the artist—been waiting for an hour already. 1 pm came. Not yet. They said they are on their way to Marysville—Most people went home already cause they got job or appointment to go to. Me and Bianca Ann just hang out and chatting with other Filipino.

They finally came past 2 pm…nagkagulo na sa loob. Pinalabas ang ibang tao to make a line outside for the autograph. There were few who stayed inside the store—including me and Bianca Ann. Of course some complain about it that it was unfair—we just ignore them. Di naman kao pumila for the autograph eh. I just keep taking pictures of them the whole time of autograph session which lasted for 30 mins. Cause they have to eat lunch.. A lot of people went home after the autograph session. I did stayed and chat MORE with other Filpinos. 3 pm the artist came out again from the mess hall to take a souvenirs pic with the  Filipino Store owner. I did get close with Martin Nievera with Bianca Ann . I Never know that Bianca loss her other shoes and Martin picked it for me—ang bait niya grabe. He hand it to Bianca Ann and called her as Cinderella. And Martin is the prince ;-)

They left the store at 3:30 pm. ME and other Fili[pinos who hang out—did eat some of the food intended for the artist. I just had pansit—it was good.

Kuh was so skinny as in..Isabella her daughter is so pretty and Martin medyo payat na rin si Martin. Basil Valdez parang di tumatanda.

My hubby asked me how was my adventure— I said it was good..and ALL WORTH the waiting he!he!he!

WEAR RED!!!

Tuesday, September 12th, 2006

My Hubby–put up a huge flag–half mast and a poster of WTC in front of our yard, in honor of those victims of 9/11 and its family today. For me everytime i see the clock turns 9:11  I get goose bumps…watched the film 911 by the Goldfish production last night at the CBS. As usual cry to death ang mujer…its hard, still cant believe it happened.

Hoping and wishing hard it will not HAPPEN AGAIN— thought share with you guys this story. Its a heartbreaking story and its true…tinanong nga ako ni Billy kung makakaya ko ba daw ang mag-isa IF EVER he CHOSES to be in overseas. Kako wag na—k lang na maghirap basta magkasama kaming tatlo.

My hubby is going to retired—hopefully next year. He’s been in the US Navy for 26 years (he will be 27 next year)…he was planning to retired on his 30 years. Changed his mind after his father died.

The daughter of a Soldier

Last week I was in Atlanta, Georgia attending a conference. While I was
in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me
beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed
one of the greatest act’s of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving thru the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camo’s, as
they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was
abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering. When I saw
the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for it
hit me. I’m not alone. I’m not the only red blooded American who still
loves this country and supports our troops and their families.

Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young
unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so
we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal. Just when I
thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our service men
and women a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old, ran up to one of
the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said "hi," the little girl then
she asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her. The young
soldier, he didn’t look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would
try and what did she want to give to her daddy. Then suddenly the little
girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she
could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughters name was Courtney,
told the young soldier that her husband was a Marine and had been in
Iraq for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her daughter,
Courtney, missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up. When
this temporarily single mom was done explaining her situation, all of
the soldiers huddled together for a brief second. Then one of the other
servicemen pulled out a military looking walkie-talkie. They started
playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to
Courtney, bent down and said this to her, "I spoke to your daddy and he
told me to give this to you." He then hugged this little girl that he
had just met and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying
"your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and
he is coming home very soon."

The mom at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young
soldier stood to his feet he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was
standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event unfolded. As
the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed
their applause. As I stood there applauding and looked around, their
were very few dry eyes, including my own. That young soldier in one last
act of selflessness, turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a
tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and
thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it’s
good to be an American.

Red Friday
Just keeping you "in the loop" so you’ll know what’s going on in case
this takes off.

RED FRIDAYS —– Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing
Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to
be called the "silent majority". We are no longer silent, and are
voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers.
We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing. We get no liberal
media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions.

Many Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to
recognize that the vast majority of America supports our troops.
Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity
and respect starts this Friday -and continues each and every Friday
until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that.. Every
red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar will wear
something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV — let’s make the United States on every
Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.

If every one of us who loves this country will share this with>acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family. It will not be long
before the USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the
once "silent" majority is on their side more than ever, certainly more
than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked "What can we do to make things
better for you?" is…We need your support and your prayers.

Let’s get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and
wear something red every Friday.

IF YOU AGREE — THEN SEND THIS ON
IF YOU COULD CARE LESS THEN HIT THE DELETE BUTTON — IT IS YOUR CHOICE.
WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE.

THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED—- SO WEAR RED!MAY GOD HELP AMERICA TO BECOME ONE NATION, UNDER GOD.

HAVE A GREAT DAY.

Dance Lesson..

Thursday, September 7th, 2006

Today is Bianca Ann first day of dance lesson. I enrolled her on the Creative Movement of Lake Stevens Dance Academy–just 5 miles from our house. She just love it!!!

She was so excited and could not wait to go to her class. This morning I was chatting with my older Sister Mana Nene I was telling her dance lesson for the afternoon. Bianca Ann just put her leotard on and show off her move to my Sissy through my webcam. My sister was laughing hard watching my Bianca Ann twirling and doing tumble for Mana Nene. While I was buying her new Leotard uniform in Target—she was trying it on sa fitting room –she would twirl and do some Ballerina move.

We had her daddy with us on her first day dance lesson. My hubby was smiling the whole time watching her Princess dancing around the room. She did good and she looks so cute on her uniform — so does other 7 girls on her class.  Watching them parang feel kong maging ballerina din-he!he!he! In case you are wondering how much I paid for Bianca NAn dance lesson…$30.00 monthly, 30 mins per session, once a week for 10 months. Her uniform is Shoes, $21.00, Tights $9.00 and Leotard $12.99. To be on a Recital  you have to pay (uniform and ticket total is $180.00 also…

I had Bianca Ann on swimming class  for 3 months too. And I am thinking of putting her back again… she loves swimming too. We paid $40.00 for 10 classes–30 mins per session.  I am not going back to the KIndermusik no more..so expensive and too far for me to drive. I have my neighbor Maya and her hubby give us ride kasi magka-klase ang anak nila at si Bianca Ann. I just bring a snack for the 2 of them then I babysit/feed their 2 kids (5 and 3 yrs old) till the evening (6 hrs.) if I am not busy.

LABOR DAY:

It was only me and Bianc Ann went out for the day… my so ever hardworking hubby got carried with his yard work. He was working in our yard from 9 am till 3 pm…the day before he agreed to come with us to the Evergreen State Fair by Monroe—by the time he got done he was exhausted. I felt sorry to insist that he should come with us for a family time—my poor hubby was under the sun for a few hours. He just promised us that he will take us tto the Puyallup Fair (almost 2 hrs drive) next week. I told Bianca Ann already that we are going out to the Fair soon Daddy get done from yard work. Unfortunately my hubby’s change his mind —so still I have to take out my child—she been playing all by herself inside the house. Feel guilty…

Went to the PC to check the driving direction to Monroe… learn it is only a 8 miles drive I said wow… its not that far. My hubby dont want us to go (financial reason –fair are expensive) but I already set my mind that I am going to the fair…that was my first tiem to drive going  to Monroe for the Evergreen State Fair.  Got there at 5:15 pm paid parking space for $5.00, I notice all the ticket booth are close– ask the police  she told me the admittance is FREE! (entrance fee is $9. for the adult and Bianca Ann is free) but I got 2 hrs to enjoy the fair–it is suppose to close at 7 pm..Labor day is the last day for the fair.

Bought 3 dollar train ride ticket..I already inform/brief Bianca Ann–No food asking/buying (I bring my own snacks) and we are only going to ride one ride!! Mahal talaga din ang mga rides eh. We did ride the train–the operator was so nice to let me ride free. he!he!he! I did not show Bianca Ann the Carousel kasi she loves it so much–makes me worried might ask for another ride…no budget.

I saw a tent for pony ride- $5.00 per ride..thought put her on it. I dont have a pic of her riding a pony. She did ride a pony when she was 2 yrs old but no photo. The pony ride souviner is $12.00, I just use my own camera and took a lot of picture of her enjoying the pony ride–she was all smile.

We did watch a FREE mini circus with clowns… that was fun. My hearts melt everytime Bianca Ann giggles. SO amusing to see her giggles or laugh at the clowns…oh she dont like being near to the clowns. We left the fair at 7:15 pm…dami paring tao.

One last thing my Labor day was so special… I HAD MY monthly visitor— di ako dinatnan last month of August. I was so worried might have a surprise baby again…freaks me out!! My Mana Nene hoping I am going to have a boy and my hubby would like to have another girl–but he wishes HARD not to have another baby he said he is too old for another baby. ;-) Cant blame him…so he is going to do something ;-0 ouch!!!

This is all floks..thanks for reading my LONG entry and you all have a LUCKY DAY!!!
