Birth Story prt.2

So happy when I made it to the building—it was Sharon an older lady who was on the front desk at that time. I told her about my leaking that morning—I am having leak with no tummy pain. She freaked out and went digging the hospital number, and advised me to call my hubby to inform him about my situation. I could not reached him with my cell phone so I tried to call the ship operator and he was being page on the ship. He was on the meeting, Hubby asked me I feel any pain I said no! Just the water leaking. He told me I fine know that I am 2 weeks far of my due date so he hung up the phone. I told Ms. Joan about what Billy said, Ms. Joan replied your Hubby is not a Nurse to tell you are fine. She handed me the Hospital Nurse number to call. While talking to the Nurse, she advised me to go the Hospital SOON so they can see me before I run out of water. I called back my smart hubby that he needs to take me to the hospital as soon as possible.

While waiting for my hubby to pick me up for the Hospital thought to send email to my friends letting them know what’s going on with me that morning. After 10 minutes here comes Billy catching his breath asking for me on the front desk…when he saw with the PC. He smiled commenting that look at that getting ready for the hospital but still sitting with the PC. He! He! He!

Billy went to our room to get my hospital bag, and head to the hospital. Got in around 10 am, went to the emergency room. Water still gushing out from me—the Nurse said its dangerous I might get infection or something.  They induce me for labor while waiting for the medicine to work—Billy got his camera- asked me go out the labor room to take a picture of me around the hospital, with the Carrier in the background. The Providence Everett Hospital is just a mile away from the Everett Naval Base.

When we get back to my labor room Nurse was in our room waiting for us…she said she’s been looking around the hospital for us, she thought we left the hospital.  She needs to hook IV on me;  and the monitors for my blood and the baby’s heart beat. I hated all those stuff around my belly and the every time the Nurse check my dilation—-I did not like the feeling – so ouchy and uncomfortable!!!

Billy was still on his Khaki uniform, told him to change—he hesitated at first he is so worried he might missed the birthing part. The nurse told him it will be awhile since I never feel any labor pain yet. He went to the Marriot change and came back with a big smile when he saw me still in bed with a big tummy. The nurse tried to talk to me if I need a numbing medicine for the labor I said no!

It was Friday night the Funniest Video of America was on—we watched and had a good laugh as always, then I feel some cramps. My hubby and I tried all the stuff we learned from the birth class to ease the pain. I even sat on a big ball. At around 11 pm went to use the bathroom I felt the urge to push I informed Billy and Nurse about it. They told me to hold on to it, the Doc on Duty was still assisting at the next room.

At 11:15 pm the male Doctor came in— I had Billy on my left side and a coaching nurse on my right. I guess that was the longest time of my life—the pushing part. As I struggle to push my baby out of me. So many scary thought played in my brains—so scared if I don’t push that good they are going to use a suction or thong to pull the baby out of me. I don’t want that to happen—I just thought of my mother and sisters did the regular labor why cant I.

A few more pushing  —the Doc. informed me that he could see the baby’s head now. Three more push here comes the baby at 12:39 am — Bianca Ann was crying. Her crying feels like listening to the sweetest music I ever heard. They placed Bianca Ann on my chest before they cleaned her, I was so happy and exhausted. Holding and touching my baby in person was the best feeling at that time—the wait is over. I finally hold my baby in person. My hubby kissed me and told me how proud he was of me. I guess Billy uses almost 10 rolls of film since I was admitted to the hospital till Bianca Ann’s second day…

I replied then I dont need an Epidural…My hubby was impress of me too for not CURSING him or yelling at him, while in labor.
