Update…

I am so glad and so happy I was able to attend for the first time a get-together of Calbayognons here in WA. Big thanks to my Hubby for driving me and his patience looking fo the host residence in Edmonds. I had fun…though most of them first time ko lang nakita, na meet sa party or just know by thier last name — good thing I got Mana Benit Mancol with me to introduce to those people. Most of them live in the city proper of Calbayog and here I am pobre nga taga-obrero He!he!he!.(both of my parents are from the island tough I was raise and born in Obrero) Neeweez It was a pot luck and a Novena for Our Lady of Nativity–the saint Patron of Calbayog. We did sing the Calbayog ko and did tried to hook up the magic sing microphone to the TV— out of 7 people nobody could figure it out… siguro natakot ang mic. Bianca Ann was impatiently waiting for the mic to work she cant wait. We were not able to use it…they said there’s a chip missing inside the mic-too bad. The food…oh boy so,so good!!! I brought a Chicken-macaroni salad….I was so full. My hubby made a comment" What Filipino gathering no LUMPIA? yes there is none…and I dont know why. The residence host place was so cool… they have a terrific view of the Ocean, ferry coming in and out of the terminal… behind their house is a railroad. Bianca Ann had a good time watching the trains come and go. She never seen a train that much— that close….

     I went to the INS office today for my Renewal of my Green card–again big thanks for my Papa toto for taking a day off for me so he can drive me to the INS office. On our way to the INS for some reason Bianca Ann got sick in the car, good thing I brought extra clothes for her to change with. (Rissa reminds me of your situation before) We did got lost too and was so lucky we found ourselves back to the main road. I had my direction from the map quest and I guess I did not properly type the INS address and the map/direction took us in the middle of the residence area and so worried I might miss my appoinment–the time was 10:10 am —my appt was 10:20 am. I was 13 mins late but they still let me in and I was just 2 numbers behind—- got there and had my paperworks done less than 15 mins…. the lady behind the desk was so nice–she is a Filipina. She even advises me to go get a US citizenship –when I inform her about my Phil.passport expiring May 2006…she gave me packet of forms for Naturalization and questioner. I was kinda hesitant to change my citizenship but my hubby wants me to get one too. my college classmate in Arizona Josie..she just had her Citizenship oathtaking done last Sunday… I was not really planning/thinking of changing my citizenship when I got married to Billy but with what is going right now, expenses of green card fee replacement and travel. Sabi pa nang friend ko she cant wait to have a blue passport para di masyadong mahirap magbiyahe outside PI and US.—I know soon maybe next year Naturalization fee mag-increase na naman. I dont know and am not really sure for now what to do…what do you think folks???? Any words..

    hello Jess! thanks for the feedback on my journal ha. wow! maau pa mo naay get together sa imong mga kahometown. i love filipino get togethers kay daghan kaon, haha! pasensya na ka kay kaon ra jud permi naa sa akong hunahuna karong panahuna. i’m trying so hard not to eat too much para di kaau ko mag gain weight but i still can’t stop eating. anyway, regarding the green card thingy same with me i wasn’t planning to change citizenship too but my hubby said it’s better that i become a citizen para less daw ang taxes. so, i think i will apply for citizenship when my time is up. na car sick pala c bianca ha. was it early morning? sus maau kay naa kay dalang extra clothes. katong akoa sa una, my appointment was like 8:30 or 9am ba to then na carsick c AJ. ambot oi katanga sad nako na wala nagdala og extra clothes. buti na lang naay target duol. dala namo c AJ sa target na naka diapers lang, haha! what an experience! o cge till here na lang. thanks for the msg sa friendster diay. kalimot ko reply.
